SOLLAI CARTWRIGHT

Born 1988, Victoria, Australia
Lives and works in Castlemaine, Victoria

Sollai Cartwright is an Australian sculptor working principally in marble and bronze. Trained in traditional stone carving in Pietrasanta, Italy, Cartwright works between contemporary sculptural practice and the centuries-old stone-carving traditions of the region, maintaining an ongoing relationship with its quarries, artisans and foundries.

Cartwright has exhibited throughout Australia, Europe and Asia, including Australia House, London; Sculpture by the Sea, Sydney and Perth; Lorne Sculpture Biennale; Art Central Hong Kong; MARS Gallery, Melbourne; and exhibitions in London, Berlin and Hong Kong.
